Paper artists Nayan Shrimali and Venus Bird make truly amazing miniature replicas of animals and birds, and I’d so love to see them in person! Their beautiful, fragile miniatures are meant to represent the fragility of nature. What a wonderful approach to conservation activism! The vast majority of the creatures they create are pollinators, “responsible for all the food and flowers we have on earth.”
In addition to their beautiful natural flora and fauna, the Shrimalis can make you a teensy, tiny paper portrait of your pet! I would dearly love one of those.
You can follow The Paper Ark on their website and on Instagram and Behance, and you can purchase their wonderful paper art pieces on Etsy.

Wow! These pieces are incredible! Some look like paintings and some – like the snake – could even be photos so it blows my mind they are all crafted from paper. Really impressive.
