A European woman who has been in a wheelchair for more than 25 years decided a few years ago to start making ramps for businesses using Legos. You read that right. In her little town of Hanau, Germany, Rita Ebel and her husband have made more than a dozen ramps for the businesses she accesses the most often, and her friends are helping her make more ramps for their favorite town shops as well. Though significantly more cheerful than their utilitarian counterparts, these Lego ramps are plenty solid and strong and get the job done!

I agree. There should be places where people can donate old legos for just this purpose!
