Jan Kaláb

Former Eastern Block painter/sculptor Jan Kaláb creates the most marvelous art using just airbrushed or traditionally-applied acrylic paint and canvas. Don’t they look like they were created by AI or at least Photoshop? What mastery he has of his colors. I can’t imagine producing anything this perfect.

Kaláb was originally a street artist, and he was one of the first artists to introduce graffiti to the Czech Republic and beyond. His work with graffiti really honed his painting skills, but his sculptural canvases came later. I truly am just fascinated by his shapes and colors. How does he work with such precision? I can’t being to imagine working like he does.

You can follow Jan Kaláb on his website and on Instagram and Facebook.

The precision really is mind-blowingly fantastic. Thanks for including the video so I could get some insight into the artist’s process. My mind is still blown.
