What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

The Most Fabulous Human

If reincarnation is a thing, I want to come back as a creature as fabulous as Jordan Roth. He is a seven-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, theater owner, and cultural influencer. His most notable productions include Kinky Boots, The Book of Mormon, Hadestown, and Moulin Rouge, to name a few. He’s also the president and majority shareholder of Jujamcyn Theaters, which owns a handful of Broadway theaters. But it’s not his high-powered theater career that I envy. That seems like way too much adulting. It’s his role in the world as a fashion and culture icon that I’d love to try on for size.

In addition to being wildly successful, tall, thin, and beautiful, Roth has managed to attract to himself an army of exceptionally-talented makeup artists, hair stylists, and fashion designers. As he once said, “I clean my toilet in sweats and a dirty tee shirt just like everyone else.” However, when he goes out, he goes ALL OUT. His ensembles for runway shows, for Broadway premieres, and for events like the Met Gala and the Tony Awards are true innovative show-stoppers. And if you can believe his social media (and I see no reason not to), he’s responsible for at least some of the wild, wonderful fashion concepts in which he appears. It’s not surprising that he’s been a muse for some of the most famous designers of our time. I don’t think any human of any gender has ever looked better in couture clothing than Roth.

Roth typically posts only his finished looks on YouTube, so I had to include some Instagram reels of him collaborating with designers. I promise you they’re worth it.

You can follow my new fashion idol Jordan Roth on his website and on Instagram and YouTube.
