Herrera takes your special photos, old and new, and adds beautiful, delicate embroidered elements to make a truly special, one-of-a-kind keepsake. The self-taught fiber artist has always had an interest in preserving images that are important to people. And by embroidering certain aspects of the photos – the lace of a veil, a floral arch, a slice of pizza – she gives those static images new life.

And Herrera is as generous with her skills and know-how as she is with her embroidery. She offers a number of different courses and all kinds of helpful resources, materials, and kits to get you started.
