In Shirakawa City, Japan, there is a wildly-talented artist named Kenji Hoshi. Is he a painter? Yes. Is he a sculptor? Yes. Is he a metal artist? Again, yes. But his canvases are far from traditional. Hoshi is the owner and lead designer for Kings Custom Paint, what can only be called a motorcycle glowup spa. Hoshi designs and executes the most glamorous upgrades for his clients, and his results look like marvelous, sparkly jewels. I have never wanted a motorcycle, but I may at least need one of his beautiful gas tanks and a matching helmet.
Well known in the international hot rod circuit, Hoshi’s jewel-like motorcycle tanks and helmets have gotten him attention all over the world. And the artist’s three‑dimensional painting style has often been copied, but never rivaled. His tanks are true works of art.
You can follow Kings Custom Paint on their website and on Instagram and Facebook.

I have less than zero interest in motorbikes but the bikes are just the canvas and the artistry and craftsmanship are phenomenal. I am struck by how this artist creates a vintage vibe while also making things look cool and contemporary.
