I have recently become obsessed with a vintage-sounding band called the Seven Seas Orchestra. They first popped up during my morning Instagram scroll, and I went from half asleep to fully awake and bouncing around. Anyone who can make me want to jitterbug first thing in the morning deserve some attention!
With four regular members and a never-ending stream of visiting artists, the Seven Seas Orchestra’s performances are never the same twice, but they’re always great fun.
“The Seven Seas Orchestra is a collective of musicians and multi-instrumentalists united by the same course: to revive the primordial energy of jazz and the migrant music that crossed the twentieth century. Each member carries with them a baggage made of different experiences, instruments and influences, which intertwine into a single
choral voice. The result is a sound that blends Hot Jazz, Swing Manouche and Creole music of the 1920s and 1930s, reinterpreted with contemporary sensitivity and a nomadic spirit.” About the Seven Seas OrchestraYou don’t need to hear (read) me blather on about their music. I’d much rather we skipped directly to the toe tapping. I know you’re going to enjoy them!
You can follow the darling Seven Seas Orchestra on their website and on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, and Facebook.
