Austrian painter Marie Hartig has what she calls a ‘bespoke wall painting service,’ but I can’t imagine a more modest title. Hartig consults with clients to create the most amazing wall paintings that I can imagine. She either paints directly onto walls, or creates hand-painted wallpaper or panes which can be moved from place to place. From castles to 5-star hotels to children’s rooms to pool houses to a children’s hospital in Buenos Aires and a Nairobi pre-school, this artist makes a memorable mark on every site she visits.
If you (like me) don’t have a castle to festoon, Hartig also sells amazing limited edition prints of her work. Her paintings feel historically important, and they would be an amazing addition to any household.
You can follow the imaginative Marie Hartig on her website and on Instagram and Facebook.

I am trying to imagine a few things:
The Cost
Could I do this myself?
Would my spouse hate it?
I can live in a storybook? YES PLEASE.

Right? I’d love to do this on every wall. However, Beloved would object. Strongly. An maybe move out. So back to dreaming of storybook walls…
