Taylor Cox

Hi, all. Clearly, I goofed. I set up the draft for today’s post, but forgot to come back and do the research and writing. I apologize for my error.

Here’s the short version of what I meant to write: While Wisconsin artist Taylor Cox paints mostly ocean-themed miniatures using many different types of media, it is her bead paintings that really caught my attention. She was led to making paintings using glass beads by her love for texture.

“Painting for me involves an incredible amount of building and piecing together. An intuitive, spontaneous process beginning with blazingly bright and optimistic color. I incorporate texture in my work to create depth of space and movement. Merging abstract and figurative elements each comprised of visual cues to places in my memories. I hope when people view my work that it takes them away for a bit. I imagine my beach scenes and abstracts as another world. It’s a happier world for sure.”

You can follow the lovely Taylor Cox on her website and on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
