ET Woodcrafts call their hand-carved wood pieces “designs honoring hands and the earth” which goes along with their core values, elegant touch and eco trend. The Vietnamese company uses only wood sourced from responsibly-managed forests. They particularly favor the use of underwater wood from trees that have fallen over (from natural causes) and settled into riverbeds. By retrieving those fallen trees, they reduce the need to cut down healthy trees. And the underwater wood makes for very interesting pieces because of the ways their time in the water has colored and carved the logs and enhanced their grain.
What I love the most about their designs is how deliciously organic and warm everything looks. I want to touch it all. They have three showrooms in the U.S., Martinsville VA, Cheyenne WY, and Newark DE, and I’m sorely tempted to find a reason to go.
