There is an artist who creates the most amazing calligraphy in sand using only what appears to be a paper cutter blade. I’ve never seen anything like it. Unfortunately, the artist doesn’t share their name or any details about themselves, so their art is all we have. Their socials are under the name “Sand Calligraphy,” and judging by the hand, it appears to be a male artist. I can’t tell whether it’s a single person or a collective, nor am I able to say for sure whether or not it’s AI. It seems to be real, but who can tell these days? I will say that some of their YouTube content was apparently live streamed, so while it’s possible it was created ahead of time, it’s more likely that there really is someone out there with these incredible skills.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy their marvelous work. The artist will do particular words, sayings, or names for a fee.

Having watched people create intricate sand mandalas and amazing Rangoli, I see no reason why this sand calligraphy would be anything other than genuinely analogue creativity. The patience and precision is impressive.

I have begun thinking everything I like is AI. I met a picture-perfect teddy bear of a puppy last weekend, and I asked if he was AI. I was only half kidding. (I met him at an art sale and later tried to put a red sticker on him…)

Same! I don’t trust anything any more! If I see a video of a cute animal, I am studying it with forensic precision because I assume it is AI. I have not yet wondered if something I encounter in real life is AI but that might start soon.
