Adro Mugnier

Argentinian sculptor Adro Mugnier creates amazing, compelling, charming mechanical beings out of recycled materials. He uses mostly recycled wood reclaimed from local construction sites and driftwood, and his hardware is gathered from the streets and sites near his home in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. He calls his movable creatures artiboots, and most of them also serve as amazing lamps.

Mugnier shares brilliant videos of his creations in motion, and there’s so much more to them than when they are just photographed in a stationary position. The quantity of personality he packs into each character is absolutely fascinating.
