Today was the first New York day that really felt like Winter might be over.  And when the weather turns Spring-like, naturally I get to thinking about New York City real estate, the more outrageously unattainable, the better.

Many New Yorkers share this guilty pleasure, and there’s always plenty of palaces for gawking.  But even with all the ridiculous penthouses and brownstones on parade, this fabulous Brooklyn apartment stands head and shoulders above the rest.

This triplex penthouse atop DUMBO*’s iconic clock tower, complete with killer views of Manhattan, has the charming, small-towny-sounding address of 1 Main Street.  And all this for only $18 million.  What a bargain!  Now, I just need to figure out how to get myself invited over.

*Dear non-New Yorkers: DUMBO refers to a beautiful rich-hipster-riddled neighborhood in Brooklyn. DUMBO stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.  Sounds unimpressive, I know, but it’s a fun neighborhood to walk around in.
