I don’t spend a lot of time talking about what’s wrong with the world. For one thing, I think it’s easy to preach but harder to practice, and I don’t like hypocrites. For another, I prefer to use this space to focus on positive things. I’d rather post solutions than problems.
Therefore, I’m not going to mention how horribly animals used for lab testing are treated or how restricted and joyless their lives are. And I’m not going to point out that in the U.S., almost 65,000 dogs are currently being used to test cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and household products. I’m not even going to tell you that 96 percent of those dogs are beagles because the breed is so gentle-tempered.
Instead, I’m going to show you a video of how nine lucky lab animals react when they are shown some kindness and let outside to play for the first time. Joy incarnate is the only way to describe them.
