They’re not words if they’re crossed out.
I’ve decided Wordless Wednesdays is a weekly opportunity to share my favorite music of all time. This week, I give you
Joe Jackson, Heaven and Hell.
This album endures as one of my favorites of all time. I was working with Ed Vega, Suzanne Vega’s father, on the sound design for a play when this came out, and he was tickled that I used so much of it in the show’s design. It was my first experimental sound design, and I loved the (heaven and) hell out of it.
The first and last pieces are my favorites, but I really recommend you listen to the whole album (playlist). Joe Jackson assembled some fierce talent for this project and it’s really a remarkable work. Just playing it again is giving me happy chills.
