Legally-blind artist (yes, you read that right) George Redhawk quite literally sees things differently than we do. According to his bio, “With the use of visual aides and computer softwares that aide the visually impaired, he began to explore the realm of photo manipulation with a desire to show the world as he see it from his damaged sight.” Amazing.
He calls himself DarkAngelØne, and his mission statement is intriguingly clear.
“My art is made with the idea to disturb and challenge the visual senses.” – DarkAngelØne
Mission accomplished! He takes stunning still images (by other artists), and adds hypnotic looped animation that takes them to a whole different level.
As with all my favorite finds, I had a devil of a time deciding which images to include in this post. Though I had to cut myself off because I didn’t want the page to be too slow to load, his Google+ site is full of his beautiful work, so go check it out. He’s got 1335 GIFs up there so far, and though he’s on vacation, I assume he’ll be back at it when he returns!
Warning: a few of his images are a bit NSFW, so proceed with caution.

Pretty neat! A couple of them creeped me out, but the one with the dancer and the honey flowing over her was beautiful.

Hey, you’re smart. Why don’t you figure out how we can make these ourselves? We could entertain ourselves doing really evil things to family pictures.
