kedsThis ought to be a Ked’s commercial.Top Lindy Hop dancers from around the world compete to live music by Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five during in the International Lindy Hop Championships in Washington, DC, in 2013. I couldn’t find out much more about it, but frankly, I do not care. Makes me want to put on my dancing shoes and go have a wiggle.

I challenge you to find a video more filled with joy and positivity and fun and athleticism than this one. Today is Monday. I don’t think I’m overstating it when I say this is going to be the best 12.5 minutes of your day (unless you’re way luckier than everyone I know, in which case good on you!).

You, my darlings, are welcome.

And you knew I couldn’t stop there, right? F.Y.I., this is maybe the most fun rabbit hole I’ve ever fallen down!

And another thing . . . (I want to go to Camp Jitterbug!)

  2. Hi! I’ve followed your blog for a while now, but as a swing dancer, I just had to comment on this post! ILC is a great event, and swing dance in general is awesome! There are many places to learn, and every swing community I’ve visited is super fun and inclusive 🙂 Thanks for sharing these vide

    • Thank you for following, and thank you extra for saying hi! Swing music has long been my favorite genre. When I was singing, that’s what I sang, I’ve spent a lot of time jigging around to it (in a completely untrained and ungainly way), and it’s one of my favorite things to listen to. And now I’m obsessed with watching the dancing, too!
