Julio Cesar
Brazilian character designer and artist Julio Cesar takes photos of random people and turns them into gorgeous illustrations that look even more lifelike than the original photos! These cartooned portraits are so full of personality, the subjects could only be flattered by the artist’s interpretation. Cesar put out a request on his Instagram for people to send him their photos, and the pictures started rolling in. He turns the ones that inspire him into these gorgeous, adorable, caricatures. According to Cosmo, “It’s like falling into a Dreamworks movie.”
All his characters are spectacular. I recommend you check them out.
I wanna be a cartoon, too!

This is awesome Donna! My fav is a drawing from like a theme park and it was so much better than the average street fair cartoonist! We went back 10 years later to the same park same kids and a plus 1 to have it done again!

It’s great that you got the same results! I would have expected that the artist would have changed.

The artist was different, but the park uses the same style so almost unnoticeable. 🙂

I had a dream last night that I convinced the artist to come to my party and draw everyone there. It was so much better than photos!

That would be so awesome! Bet if you asked nicely he would. I wonder how much he would charge…

Since this is his business, I’m guessing he wouldn’t be cheap. It was a fun dream, though!

I would love to have him apply his creative magic to my four boys. It would be such fun to see how he captured their personalities and individual quirks. I am off to check out the links now.

I actually didn’t consider actually doing it. I am sure he is plenty busy. I also don’t have an Instagram account which I assume is the way to contact him. I will just have to use my imagination.

I have always wanted a cartoon made of a photo of myself, and your first picture of the little girl getting her hair done convinces me that I must do it.
