Celeste Barber
Celeste Barber, the comic host of Australia’s How Not to Behave, is my new favorite human being. Her photo impressions of “glamour” shots are so spot on, you’ll need to close your door for this one. This is a series Barber calls #CelesteChallengeAccepted. She takes an unattainable photo from a celebrity’s Instagram and recreates it for real people. Her Instagram is an absolute scream, and will make you feel much better about yourself.
“I’m an actor and comedian, so I started #celestechallengeaccepted to make people laugh. I wanted to see how I would look if I attempted to recreate some really privileged peoples’ ‘everyday, normal’ selfies. I also like to challenge myself. I really thought I could do the splits like Serena – turns out, I can’t.” -Celeste Barber to People Magazine
A big thank you to Annie B. for pointing me toward this wonderful comedian!

Awesome! Got a good chuckle out of these, thank you. The heart/penis drawn in the sand was particularly amusing.

Great! My favorite among these gems is the one where she’s written the word “tattoo” on her skin – perfect!

This reminds me of something I saw on buzzfeed–trying to recreate super heroine poses–this was much better though. The tattoos were hilarious–I don’t know why, but when I saw the triceps with tattoo written numerous times, I just howled.

The only reason I didn’t do it myself is because I loathe pictures of myself. (Annie, is that you?)

So very true. I sincerely hope THEY have seen her work and are suitably chastened. (Though I doubt they’d get the joke.)
