What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Clay and Love

I have spent so much time exploring (legitimately) super-expensive works of art lately that I thought I owed you an inexpensive treat. I was looking for a thank you puffin (as you do) on Etsy earlier this month, and I came across the wonderful, tiny world of Etsy seller MadeWithClayAndLove.

These wonderfully-designed, minimalist beauties are the clay equivalent of the crocheted animals of SuAmi, and I want them ALL. Artist Melissa McCarthy had this to say about her art:

“I have always loved animals and tiny things! I have been making miniatures out of clay for 8 years, and I find there is always something new to try and more to learn!”

I look forward to more from this wonderful artist!

I have committed to spending part of every day looking for at least one beautiful thing, and sharing what I find with you lovelies!

  2. They are absolutely delightful. I love how characterful they are for being so simplistic in form. If I wasn’t already done with Christmas shopping, I’d be snatching up a few of these. I’m making a note of the seller for future use though.

  4. Thank you for the stroll down pedestrian but adorable lane (and thank you etsy for the occasional sensible supplier in your midst). These make me want to build a clay wildlife preserve in which to home them!
