MadeWithClayAndLove
I have spent so much time exploring (legitimately) super-expensive works of art lately that I thought I owed you an inexpensive treat. I was looking for a thank you puffin (as you do) on Etsy earlier this month, and I came across the wonderful, tiny world of Etsy seller MadeWithClayAndLove.
These wonderfully-designed, minimalist beauties are the clay equivalent of the crocheted animals of SuAmi, and I want them ALL. Artist Melissa McCarthy had this to say about her art:
“I have always loved animals and tiny things! I have been making miniatures out of clay for 8 years, and I find there is always something new to try and more to learn!”
I look forward to more from this wonderful artist!

They are absolutely delightful. I love how characterful they are for being so simplistic in form. If I wasn’t already done with Christmas shopping, I’d be snatching up a few of these. I’m making a note of the seller for future use though.

They’d be good stocking stuffers . . .

They definitely would but the stocking are going to be bulging as it is. Post-Christmas I might buy some up to store away for birthdays though.

I just realized my final draft didn’t save, and I published an unfinished post. It’s like I’ve tucked my skirt into my underwear. Argh!

I didn’t notice any issues if that helps. I’ve done that before too though and had the same feeling.

The third paragraph read simply “WRITE MORE STUFF.” Jeez.

Thank you for the stroll down pedestrian but adorable lane (and thank you etsy for the occasional sensible supplier in your midst). These make me want to build a clay wildlife preserve in which to home them!

That would be adorable! It does make me happy when an artist’s work is affordable, however rare an occurrence.

They’re so beautiful, and so affordable, there’s no good reason not to buy them and surprise people for no reason.
