The Ukraine-based Woodwhale Lab, headed up by sculptor and wood carver Yurii Myketka, makes the most adorable little birds, fish, and animals I’ve ever seen. The details are minimal, but the beautiful blending of wood and resin combined with the lovely spare shapes make for gorgeous, expressive works of art! I’ve always enjoyed wood with resin, whether it’s furniture, jewelry, or art, but I think these may be the most successful combinations I’ve ever seen.

I don’t think they’re going for accurate as much as for effect… I love wood and blue/green resin, too! Such a lovely combination.
