The premise is simple, but so satisfying. You pick a decade between 1900 and now and select a country, and the Radiooooo website plays you what was popular there and then. I started with what I knew the best – USA in the 1980s. Even so, it played me some interesting deeper cuts alongside the more popular songs I knew already. It’s a great way to discover music, new and old! I next went to my other fave, the US in the 1940s, and discovered some new stuff there as well. What a great source of entertainment!
After a bit of exploring, I realized I could also choose any combination of slow, fast, and WEIRD. (So you now know where my next two hours went..)
You can play around with Radiooooo on their website and on Instagram (and I really recommend you do!).

Enjoy! I have it playing in the background as I work now. Love it.

Oh I definitely need to play around with this! My kids are always laughing about the fact that I rarely listen to music that was released after my age was in double digits. And they are stuck in a car with me for about ten hours this weekend so I could really have fun exploring this. Thanks!

We actually didn’t use it on the trip because of connectivity issues. My car is old. We played nerdy guessing games instead. But I am keeping this in the back pocket for future trips.
