Designing Dreamscapes

I recently stumbled across a wonderful website called Designing Dreamscapes. These folks design furniture, miniature houses, and a wild range of products from shoes to vending machines to household appliances. The catch is that none of them have been made.

“It’s crucial to note that these meticulously crafted designs are currently existing solely in the realm of digital representations. They serve as expressions of creativity and Innovation, captivating the imagination rather than being tangible items available for purchase.”

– Designing Dreamscapes FAQ

It doesn’t say anywhere whether these digital images were designed using the assistance of AI, but even if they were, they’re wonderful enough that I couldn’t resist sharing. And who knows? Maybe there’s someone out there with the skills to make them a reality! (If you’re out there, I’d love that VW bathroom vanity above, please. Thanks!) Seriously, Volkswagen should hire these wizards to create VW-branded everything!

You can check out all of Designing Dreamscapes’s fascinating designs on their website and on Instagram and Facebook.

I’ve actually seen photos of some of these items. Because I am a “deadhead”, friends and family have sent me photos of some of the VW bus items and now I know where they come from!! What I really love tho is the bed with the built in pet bed underneath (first up on their website). Quite creative.

The designs are really fun and I find myself imagining the people would own them and how they would use them. I am honestly surprised that there isn’t already a Rolls Royce branded pram. My favourite is the library housed within the tree trunk.

I thought it might be fun to have a train locomotive parked behind our house at our farm in Vermont. My wife sees this as wildly impractical, and while she’s right, it is completely impractical, so we have compromised by having large scale models of trains throughout our house. 🙂

I do much appreciate the VW bus sink, by the way!

I love them all but think my favourite is the little sewing machine 🙂

Art will take you any where you want to go. My art teacher years ago would not like any of these but times change. You do need “extra” monies to do most of these.

That is certainly the truth! I’m very glad to hear from you. It’s been almost 2 weeks, and I was starting to worry. You were missed, Beverly!

Thanks. Last week I was taking an online handmade bookbinding course . It was called a Scrappy Challenge and yes it was a challenge for me but I made it to the end. Each day (4) there was lesson then two zoom meetings. Very time consuming. I did join for a monthly period until I can decide it join for a year. With garden season coming I don’t know ..This ole gal can’t do what she used to do. If I could figure out how I would show my book. But???

That sounds wonderful! I love crafts classes. Do you have a smartphone with a camera in it? Maybe you could upload your work to your blog. I for one would love to see it!
