There is a self-taught artist in Fürth Germany who popped up in my Instagram feed recently, and I just can’t get enough. Manja Zorn-Leibelt paints interesting rocks she finds with gorgeous, lush colors and shapes, and I want to hold each one of them in my hands. They would make an amazing gift for someone who just needed a boost.
Manja’s art makes me want to go rock hunting, dig out my paints, and get working, though I’m certain I couldn’t produce anything as beautifully balanced as her rocks. I wish I knew more about the artist, but the internet was a bit lacking, so we’ll just have to content ourselves with looking at her magnificent work!
You can see all of Manja Zorn-Leibelt’s beautiful painted stones on her Manjas Stone Art Instagram.

These are all gorgeous! The artist uses a colour palette that really appeals to me, those peacock colours, and I think the inclusion of metallics really makes each rock sing. Painting such intricate designs on such a small scale and an organic substrate must require so much skill, patience, and dexterity.

That’s all true, but I like the idea of near-instant gratification as well!
