Émile Gallé

Around the turn of the 20th century, the name Émile Gallé was on everyone’s lips. One of the best-known designers of furniture and decorative glass, the imaginative Gallé was considered to be one of the driving forces behind the Art Nouveau movement, both in France and across Europe and America. And when I look at his work, it’s easy to see how his creative designs caught the attention of the world. I’ve never seen more amazing pieces. Though the artist died young, his legacy is known the world over.

You can see more of Émile Gallé’s magnificent work on Instagram.
