Today, we are looking at the jaw-dropping work by photorealistic artist Luigi Benedicenti. His paintings are an absolute marvel. Though the painter died in 2015 at the age of 67, he is still regarded as one of the finest realistic painters of all time. The vast majority of his work was focused on food, but his framing and lush use of texture and color elevate his work from the kitchen to the realm of fine art. I honestly cannot tell most of his paintings from photos of the real thing.
Though the artist has passed, you can still check out his work on his Instagram. Is anybody else hungry?

Unbelievable that these are paintings and not photos. And, yes, I will have cream puffs and ice cream for breakfast! These are some kind of amazing.

Holy moly! Even though you so clearly stated that these were paintings, my eye and brain still insisted on interpreting them as photographs. Impressive.

I had the same reaction. I actually triple checked they weren’t AI before posting.
