While the little “textile friends” made by the company known as Good & Strange may not be strictly related to Halloween, their interesting oddness certainly fits the theme. The artist, Julia Osminina, creates her dolls using the makers’ equivalent of working without a net.
“My textile sculptures are completely unique because I don’t use patterns or standard forms in my work. I prefer to create characters from scratch, guided by my mood, condition and desire to work with different materials.”
However she comes up with them, I think they’re all wonderfully unique and full of personality!
You can check out all of Julia Osminina’s work on the Good & Strange website and on Instagram.

I am a big fan of creepy cute and these guys are definitely in that category. The precision detailing in the construction of the characters and their clothing is just perfect. I can’t decide who my favourite is but I think it might be the snail guy – though I do love the crocodiles in their frocks.
