Artist Stephen Hanson may have the cutest dog in the world, or at least one of the most expressive-looking. The artist has worked as an illustrator, character designer, and animator for advertising and movies and television. He’s even illustrated several children’s books, and I’m sure all that work is lovely. However, when I spotted his dog illustrations, I was hooked. The series is called Toby and His Red Ball, and I love every single one of them. His dog has the best face ever. In fact, you can see the real Toby in the video linked here.
You can see all of Stephen Hanson’s charming work on his website and on Instagram and Facebook.
Note: I really don’t want to use a whole bunch of the artist’s images in my post, so I’m once again attempting Instagram embeds. If they don’t load for you, please just to to his ‘Gram and check them out for yourself.

Toby is the perfect muse! He seems so full of personality and fun while also being completely adorable whatever mischief he apparently gets up to. The illustrations are completely delightful.

I love him so hard. His big, helpless eyes, his straggly fur, his tiny legs and feet. And the backgrounds are fantastic, too!
