Beloved and I are still avid kayakers, but it is definitely getting harder getting the boat in and out of the water (and getting in and out of the boat). We realize someday in the not-too-distant future, we will need something a little less strenuous to get us onto the water. I have been keeping an eye out for something that would work, so I was thrilled when I spotted this solar-powered inflatable vessel by GoSun. We require something we can get in and out of the water ourselves, and the Elcat (short for electric catamaran) Splash definitely fits that bill. We also want something that will leave little or no carbon footprint (we are adamant about not polluting our beloved Jamaica Bay), so this little boat is perfect for us. Of course, were we planning on doing any more than noodling around our bay, we would need something more sturdy, but for our uses, this should be just about right! You can also drag them up on shore and use them as camping structures.
