When I was writing last week’s post about Annie Morhauser, A.K.A. AnnieGass, my research kept turning up this young glass artist from Australia, also named Annie Glass. I thought her work was so dynamic and unexpected, she deserved a share as well! The piece that really grabbed me is the wire-and-glass sculpture above, entitled Shake. Just magnificent!

Glass’s work is almost entirely composed of wire, sometimes with glass accents as in the piece above. Her work represents childhood memories and are meant to be something to which we can all relate. I can say that personally, every one of her pieces reminds me of something happy from my childhood (even though I didn’t have a dog of my own).

Unfortunately, the artist’s website was repeatedly blocked by my security program. Probably just a certificate issue, but just in case she’s been hacked, I’m not posting the link here. However, you can still follow the remarkable Annie Glass on her Instagram.
