British blacksmith Kit Garnett is known for exploring free-form shapes that look like Art Nouveau with a modern twist, and I’m definitely here for it. He describes himself as a contemporary forge-metal artist, and he beautifully merges traditional blacksmithing with modern sensibilities to make something completely new. His study of resistant materials and engineering clearly come through in his unique steel art.
“My love for making things started in school when I was about 14 years old. It was pretty obvious that the workshop was the place for me and where I wanted to spend my time. This led me to further studies in Resistant Materials and a diploma in Engineering before making the decision to specialize in artist blacksmithing.”
