My OBT

What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

A Terrible Anniversary

Hello, my lovelies. As usual, I’ve been struggling with what to post on 9/11, but since this is the 25th anniversary, I knew it had to be something particularly meaningful. After watching many videos (all of them painful), I finally came across a 2026 documentary about the Windows on the World workers. The story is driven by the timeline that morning, but it also includes some lovely bios of a number of WOTW staff, and I’ve never seen those people acknowledged before.

The full-length documentary, Trapped Above 9/11 Impact Zone: The Inside Story of 73 Restaurant Workers, is below. I hope you will take the time to watch it. It’s hard to watch, but also pretty incredible. How can it be 25 years and also too soon?

I wish everyone as peaceful a 9/11 as you can manage.
