I have confessed this unpopular opinion before. Tap doesn’t speak to me. I know some people love it, but I’m not one of them. It mostly just seems awkward and clumsy and a little ungraceful to me. That said, like anything, in the hands (feet?) of a master, it makes much more sense. Today’s artist is just such a master. This is young New Zealander Bayley Graham, who appears to be joyously tapping his way through life. He possesses the rare ability to look reasonably graceful while flapping around, tapping his little heart out. He hasn’t quite mastered the smooth delivery of Fred Astaire, nor does he exactly exhibit the natural athleticism of Gene Kelly, but he’s nonetheless wildly talented and a ton of fun to watch.
You may know Graham from Season 17 of America’s Got Talent. He only made it to the semi-finals, but heaven knows he gave it his all.
You can follow the incandescent Bayley Graham on his Bayley Taps website and on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
