“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
― Charles M. Schulz
First, let me say that I am dieting, and when I’m dieting, food is the only thing I can think of.
During my OBT wanderings, I came across these beautiful one-of-a-kind Pollock-inspired chocolate bars made by Mexican chocolate boutique Unelefante. This discovery led me to look for other chocolatiers whose work crossed the line from food to art, and my search turned up some really lovely products. As with Etsomnia, the links to the items for sale are below each photo.
“The greatest tragedies were written by the Greeks and Shakespeare…neither knew chocolate.”
― Sandra Boynton
Epilogue: Every day after I post, I like to look around WordPress at what other bloggers have to say on the same topic, and I came across something too thrilling not to share, Digger666’s post about The Chocolate Diet! (Let me save you a little disappointment. You don’t get to eat only chocolate. However, daily chocolate is, it turns out, good for you!)

And in case you’re not interested in spending hundreds of dollars on beautiful chocolates, these sparkly beauties are totally DIY! Here’s how.

I suppose the metallic chocolate skulls would make for an awkward Valentines day gift.

It depends on the message you were trying to send. If the message is “You remind me of a glittery skeleton. Here. Eat something,” then I think they’re perfect. They could also potentially communicate “I love you and hope you die, but I’m thoughtful, so here’s a gift.”
On the other hand, my older daughter would react more like “Metallic chocolate skulls? Three of my favorite things! How did you ever guess?” So you need to take into account the recipient, too.

Not for an Alexander McQueen fan. I would be over the moon to receive them, for instance. 😉

It would’ve such an insult to the Chocolate Gods to leave these beauties unappreciated. I’ll happily take them to the sacrificial altar for you…

Chocolate and wine are my only two serious vices. Art is a passion. Now, if only I’d read this post while sipping a bold red, my world would have been complete. Instead, I’m now craving chocolate. Nice find!

No apology needed! I’m back on Friday but not sure for how long, I’ll e-mail you. My visit was alright. I stayed with a friend and her misanthropic cat and unfortutunately she (human not feline) caught a bad bug so we mostly layed low.

“Misanthropic Cat” is my new favorite band name! Sorry your friend was poorly. That doesn’t sound like fun for anyone.

She really is misanthropic. She growled at me several times and I’m usually a cat magnet. I was once in a band we named Catnip. Misanthropic Cat is better, good call!

Having received several comments, I can see quite clearly that I was wrong. There are many people who would like to received the skulls on Valentines day. I must humbly apologize. I just didn’t know.
