What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

zher o 3Ischgl, Austria, deep in the Tyrolean Alps, may be lacking in vowels, but it is nonetheless home to Hotel Zhero, the sexiest ski resort in the world (according to me). I happened upon this moody, modern beauty, and instantly fell in love. Opened on 12/12/12, it’s a shining example of cooperative architecture and design. The structures and the interiors were designed in concert, and they make some seriously beautiful music together.

The pictures below do a much better job of showing the exceptional beauty of this place than words ever could. If you are inspired to book a trip, please, please, please take lots of pictures.

  3. That does, indeed, look like a fantastic place for a ski trip. Sometimes I wish I worked for the travel channel and that they would pay to send me to places like this.

  4. The preponderance of grey is making my head spin. I am in love. And I hate cold weather places!

  5. I want to go. And I wonder what it looks like other times of year. I bet the light is great in the summer too.

  6. What a crazy hotel. That looks just sooo amazing. Reminds me of my stay at Chedi Andermatt (another fantastic ski resort over in Switzerland)
