Ischgl, Austria, deep in the Tyrolean Alps, may be lacking in vowels, but it is nonetheless home to Hotel Zhero, the sexiest ski resort in the world (according to me). I happened upon this moody, modern beauty, and instantly fell in love. Opened on 12/12/12, it’s a shining example of cooperative architecture and design. The structures and the interiors were designed in concert, and they make some seriously beautiful music together.
The pictures below do a much better job of showing the exceptional beauty of this place than words ever could. If you are inspired to book a trip, please, please, please take lots of pictures.

That does, indeed, look like a fantastic place for a ski trip. Sometimes I wish I worked for the travel channel and that they would pay to send me to places like this.

The preponderance of grey is making my head spin. I am in love. And I hate cold weather places!

I want to go. And I wonder what it looks like other times of year. I bet the light is great in the summer too.

What a crazy hotel. That looks just sooo amazing. Reminds me of my stay at Chedi Andermatt (another fantastic ski resort over in Switzerland)

Sadly, it was for just one day (here’s our post about it: http://traveluxblog.com/2014/08/26/the-modern-retreat-in-the-alps/). I can definitely recommend everyone to visit this place oneday. It is fantastic even though is way too expensive for longer stays 😦
