Saturday morning breakfast is one of the things I look forward to most. It’s the one morning when beloved and I can relax and eat and talk and get caught up from the week (during which we barely see each other). Sometimes we cook, sometimes we get bagels, but we always eat well, and we do it together.
Malaysian food artist Samantha Lee, a.k.a. Lee Samantha, a.k.a. Eatzybitzy, also makes a helluva breakfast, but she must be up all night arranging it. She makes these beautiful meals for her daughters. How much fun must it be to get up in the morning and be greeted by one of these masterpieces? If I attempted to make someone food that looked even half this good, you’d get Sunday’s breakfast on Tuesday. How does she do it?

These creations are just spectacular. I don’t suppose she’d like to adopt a 38yr old.

I asked Sharon to adopt me. I’m sure she’d take you, too.

Wow. I suddenly feel like the lamest parent on the planet. My kid had Halloween candy for breakfast.

I wouldn’t even be able to stick a fork in these – it’s like my grandmother with the swirls in the margarine all over again! (Because it’s too cute/pretty to ruin!)
