Emily Blincoe arranges objects – food, flowers, stuff around her house – by color, beautifully, and photographs them. Her monochrome photos are really interesting, but I find her graduated color photos to be absolutely irresistible.
These pictures make me want to take everything out of my fridge and arrange it by color. As much fun as that sounds, though, I’ll probably get in less trouble if I just look at Blincoe’s photos instead.

I have committed to spending part of every day looking for at least one beautiful thing, and sharing what I find with you lovelies!

These are so neat! I’d probably take a stab at such fun arrangements myself, but being colorblind might hinder the process. 🙂

That must be so hard! I would hate that.

These are wonderful! There’s such fun in the arrangement of shapes and patterns as well as the vivid bursts of colour.
I have a thing for colour. When I was a teacher, I used to colour code all my notes, worksheets etc, my clothes are hanging in my wardrobe by colour and – pre-children when I had more time – I even used to peg my laundry on the line in colour order.
I might borrow the collections of colour idea for a photo project for my kids to do.

I’m a nut for color, too. I still arrange closets by color. That sounds like great fun for kids. What a great idea!

The egg shells are beautiful, so are the raspberries. I could see those framed, and hanging in my kitchen.

The raspberries really got me, too. I could see myself buying all the raspberries in the supermarket and spending a weekend having an OCD festival putting them in color order.

You arrange your clothes by color, too?! I got half my friends at work to do that, also. Yes. They thank me every day. Not the other half, though….

That’s okay. The other half can do what they want. Beloved organizes by type, then by color, so her system is much more sensible. Me, I just enjoy opening my closet door and seeing the spectrum.

Oh, I combine both type and color, also. All colors together and then sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve….why yes. I am OCD like that. 🙂 I just love us.

I adore these. I also imagine Ms. Blimcoe having quite the dentist bills or alternatively a collection of very happy children in her neighbourhood. 😉
