I’m having a tough week. So I decided what better to cheer me (and you) up than a music video combining two of my favorite things: OK Go and dogs! It was a very ambitious shoot, and in typical OK Go style is done in a single take (take number 124, to be exact). The best part is that when you’re done watching the very clever video, you can enjoy the behind-the-scenes videos as well! Just let the video keep playing and the outtakes will start.

I’m guessing endless patience. They’re so adorable. I love their ideas.

Impressive choreography and dog-handling skills. They must have been crazy agreeing to this video concept but it looks like a fun shoot. I will need to show this video to my kids. They will love it.

What fun! The musicians are just as well trained as the dogs – Ha!

The video was great, but I love the out takes; seeing the dogs behave like dogs (smooching other dogs, being distracted), and seeing the guys going out of character (smiling, head nudging) in their reaction to the dogs was my favorite part of this. They must have lots of patience, good dog trainers, and a case of 5 hour energy in that studio.

124 takes. I can’t even imagine. If you stick with the behind-the-scenes videos, you’ll get to the choreography one which is my fave. They start with people and stuffed animals playing the dogs’ parts, and it’s hilarious!

I love OK Go, but once they added in the dogs, I just couldn’t stop!

Well, that was fun! Now, have you seen Primus’s video of “Mr. Krinkle”? Also a one-shot wonder video, although not exactly cute or cuddly. Actually, it’ll give you nightmares, but it’s still pretty cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOdo7dhvSwg

Well! I haven’t stopped smiling, in spite of the tough week I had too. (Did I mention our A/C went kerflooey, as the temperature hit the high 80s with high humidity?) So this video hit the spot, thank you!!!
