You know how Etsy’s homepage is full of recommendations based upon your previous browsing history, searches, and favorites? Well, you can imagine what mine generally looks like. Thanks to Etsomnia, I spend many hours each week hunting for the wackiest stuff on Etsy, so of course their recommendations for me tend to be a bit, well, unusual. Don’t get me wrong; I thoroughly enjoy the constant parade of uglies, and they often inspire a new Etsomnia theme, but I have come to expect very little from the recommendations in terms of actually beautiful things. However, yesterday, in among the cat sweaters, felted reproductive organs, steampunk junk, and taxiderpy, there was a link to the wonderful world of CindySearles. Well played, Etsy!
Cindy & James Searles are the husband & wife design team behind the Etsy shop, which sells small furniture, lamps, pottery, tiles, and other small ceramics. I’m hopelessly in love with their design aesthetic. They take classic Arts & Crafts-style flora and fauna and interpret them in a less formal, whimsical beach house style, to stunning effect. I am not exaggerating when i say I want it all. It’s a problem. Looking around their shop, I realized I used to own a set of their salt & pepper shakers, but I can’t remember where I got them or even in what decade.
In addition to what’s up for sale in their Etsy shop, they have a lovely website which is great fun to explore. Enjoy!

Just so you know, I nominated you for a Sunshine Blogger Award. These tasks are tedious so I don’t expect you to comply. I just wanted to,hopefully, attract some attention to your site. Perhaps you can throw the sticker under the others ☺ I enjoy your posts ☺

I need those air plant hangers. Need! And I need to direct my octopus brother to that beer stein even though he doesn’t imbibe alcohol.
