Positive Exposure Photo by Rick Guidotti
Award-winning former fashion photographer Rick Guidotti is blessed with an inclusive eye and spirit. He turned from fashion to portraiture because he wanted to positively portray people of all kinds and colors, especially those with genetic disorders and other conditions that make them look different from most people.
He founded Positive Exposure, an organization that works with people with genetic, physical, cognitive, and behavioral differences. The organization uses photographic portraits to positively impact the fields of genetics, mental health, and human rights.
As great as these portraits and Guidotti’s photography skills are, it’s his mission that most speaks to me. I think this would be a very find world indeed if there were more like him.

I love that he used his talent to be a visual spokesperson for diversity, inclusivity, and a wider appreciation of beauty than we are so often exposed to.

I loved that about him, too. He could easily have continued in fashion. He was very successful.
