Welcome to the tiny, wonderful world of Humphrey J. Hedgehog. He has the good fortune to live with Diane Modafferi, who loves to create perfect miniature scenes in which to photograph wee Humphrey.

“Humphrey knows his best side, always hits his mark and works the camera like a supermodel.” -Diane Modafferi

He’s quite the social media maven; he’s even got his own YouTube channel! (Although, to be honest, not much happens there.) And you can buy Humphrey merch in the Modpix Etsy store.

I hope you enjoy Modafferi’s imaginative sets and the patiently adorable HJH.

  3. Wonderful! Have I shared with you before that my Grandad looked after an injured hedgehog one winter? We would hunt works for him and dry out leaves for his bed box. Once we released him into the wild, we would see him time and again since hedgehogs follow the same paths. We knew it was Spike (we weren’t creative) because of his mangled foot. Anyway, now I wish I had taken photos of him doing all sorts of random things.

  4. I wasn’t going to share this but, hey ho. On an island hike with my husband, we came across a freshly dead hedgehog. I posed it as if it was still alive so I could get great wild”life” photos of a hedgehog. So wrong.
