Wendy Stevens
Wendy Stevens handmakes purses, wallets, and totes of etched, pierced, or stamped stainless steel and beautiful leather, and they all make me go a bit weak in the knees. I can afford none of them, but I want them all. The struggle is real.
Her original inspiration came from the preponderance of steel in New York City (no wonder I love them!), and her clean, striking lines and graceful shapes are widely recognized as fine art. In fact, they are in the permanent collections of a number of museums across the world.
“A lot of my equipment is what you’d find in a place that makes gutters and roofs.”
You go, girl!
You can check out all of Wendy Stevens’s amazing handbags on her website and on Instagram.

Simply gorgeous! I would never be able to fill one with all the stuff I tote around now but I don’t care, I would still love to own one. Choose just one would be the hard part.

After neck surgery this year, I downsized my handbag contents tremendously. That means her bags would work perfectly for me. Henri Bendel was her first contract…..wow. Way to start big. These are so gorgeous, Donna. Every day you simply outdo what you have done the prior day. Yay, you!

They really are stunning. I wonder if they’re as lightweight as they look?

Boy, do I ever understand that! I’m such a sucker for modern and brushed metal and accessories, and these things hit all if that and more.

When I was a teenager, I had a little handbag made of woven aluminum. I can’t remember where I got it. It might have been given to my mother, and I might have appropriated it from her. It was pretty nifty.

These are cool. And at one time I did pay that much for a purse but I had a better job, LOL! I might need to send a link to ALL my kids around my birthday!
