Viking Ship Firepit by ImagineMetalArt
When I was writing Etsomnia™ 91: Pirates’ Booty, I came across the firepit above, and that started me down a whole new rabbit hole I hadn’t previously considered. Firepits, fire tables, chimineas, whatever style floats your Viking ship, Etsy has some truly unexpected ones. I even expanded my search outside my beloved Etsy just to see what’s out there. I was not disappointed!
Our deck will need replacing next year, so I’m having a lot of fun daydreaming about the new furniture. How to decide?

We’ve decided to buy a fire pit next time we save up a puckle of discretionary spending money. I can totally see my husband wanting Darth Vader and our youngest wanting a minion and the other kids wanting the Lord of the Rings one. Obviously I will be choosing.

I liked Phoenix and Sticks and the Astro one. Clearly I like the more modern feel.

You should definitely be the chooser.

Lots of artistic choices here, but my vote goes to the wine barrel fire table…it’s classic, clean, and can be given some pizazz by whatever chairs you choose to place with it. I bet it looks really sharp with a fire. It reminds me of the Summer Olympic cauldron from a few times ago (can’t remember which country) where the dude shot a flaming arrow to light the cauldron.

Isn’t that one beautiful? I loved it. I passed by a lot of fine-looking but predictable ones in favor of the sillier, more creative choices, but I couldn’t resist that one.

Waves and Seashells, hands down. I would need both.
