We’ve all seen the remarkable videos which are all over the internet featuring young couples nimbly jumping around, swing dancing . And we’re certainly familiar with the iconic solos by male dancers like Fred Astaire. But here’s something I hadn’t considered – a female swing solo dancer. This is Ksenia Parkhatskaya, one of the current acknowledged champions in women’s modern solo swing dance.

This girl can Charleston like, well, like a motherfucker! (Sorry, but if the tennis shoe fits, wear it!)

“Swing It Girl,” by the way, is the name of the Korean dance festival on whose Facebook page I first encountered Parkhatskaya. Their feed has many remarkable dancers in addition to today’s soloist.
