Written and performed by Will Butler from Arcade Fire, the song “Anna” is at first a little musically repetitive, but somehow, it got in my head, and now I can’t stop playing it. I’m not sure I would have noticed the song at all were it not for the very entertaining music video starring Emma Stone. The girl knows how to commit. Stone describes the video as a “fever dream of a California housewife.”

The video also incorporates some of Stone’s dancing scenes from “La La Land.” Although Mandy Moore (no, not that one, this one) is credited as the choreographer for the movie, it was actually Ryan Heffington who choreographed all Stone’s dances. Heffington, famous for his iconic dances performed by Maddie Ziegler in the Sia music videos, also appears in the video as the ship’s captain (that’s him in the photo above). Because Heffington didn’t get sufficient credit for his work on “La La Land,” he and Stone came up with the idea for the music video. What a sweetie she is to look after him like that!

And you know how much I love a behind-the-scenes video…

I would never have experienced this video on my own, I wasn’t looking for it.
