Emmanuel Tecles
Today, we’re exploring the moody, sexy, mysterious photos by self-taughtToulouse photographer Emmanuel Tecles. Inspired by the style of Tim Burton movies (as am I), Tecles travels around Europe exploring abandoned places that remind him of Burton’s signature moody decrepitude.
Every time I see photos like these, it makes me long for the time and money to wander the European countryside looking for ruins. Maybe someday…
You can see more of Tecles’ intriguing work on his website TEKPROD Photographs, Facebook, and Instagram.

I LOVE seeing pictures of abandoned houses, so I would be ecstatic if I could ever see/go into one in person! I’m always so curious as to what caused the abandonment, especially when there are so many personal items left in them (like the ones Val has on her blog, valsdarkroom). The mansions and cathedrals that this guy has pictures of are totally awesome. I really like it when the roof has somehow fallen/been removed and the green foliage starts coming in the opening or through the windows or up out of the decayed and missing floor. So enchanting! Squee!

You need those walls to talk! I am similarly affected by ruins and abandoned buildings. They’re so sexy and mysterious!
