10/21/16: It’s getting to be that time again. Temperatures are dropping, autumnal plants are blooming, and my morning glories are doing their last, desperate, end-of-season push. In a few weeks, my tiny garden will once again look like the Adams Family flowerbox. Ugh.

But while I haven’t exactly found the antidote to winter, I have come across something that might help! These cheerful phone cases are made from actual pressed flowers, and they seem like they could help brighten up the cold months. Sold on Etsy by HouseOfBling, they are refreshing to the eye and the spirit and also easy on the wallet. Maker Melody hand-picks flowers, presses them while they dry, arranges them in really pleasing patterns, then embeds them in resin. Inside the resin the flowers stay fresh-looking and colorful. Just what I need to get me through the winter!
You can check out all of House of Bling’s beautiful phone cases in their Etsy shop.

I love these designs! Unfortunately the Etsy shop is closed but I hope someone else will pick up the idea.

Oh, nuts! I must have forgotten to check. Happily, it seems like quite a few sellers have taken up the baton…
