What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Lousy Drawings for Good People

Ainsley Drew

It is the wee hours of the morning, and I’m still working, so I’m afraid today’s (tomorrow’s) post will need to be brief. Apologies.

This is the fantastic world of Ainsley Drew who makes Lousy Drawings for Good People. I absolutely love her sense of humor, and I had a great time heading down this particular rabbit hole. I don’t think her drawings are particularly lousy, but maybe that’s just me.

“I used to write. Now I draw, poorly and a lot. Cats, monsters, mental health related stuff, meme-inspired gobbledygook, slutty marine life, etc.” – Ainsley Drew

Drew’s not-at-all lousy drawings are also available in a calendar, and I can’t wait to receive mine!

You can follow Lousy Drawings for Good People on their website and on Instagram.

Note: I didn’t want to use Ainsley Drew’s art without permission, but when I tried to embed her Insta posts, they resisted. Instead, I truly recommend you go check out her website or Instagram. Her drawings are awesome!

You weren’t kidding about it being a rabbit hole! I clicked your link to visit Instagram and kept scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. I really enjoyed what I saw and I agree that the art work is far from lousy. I think it actually takes a great deal of skill and creativity to draw things with simple forms that have a distinctive style and artistic voice that communicate so much.
