Utah-based father/daughter duo Mat and Savanna Shaw started to make music together early in the COVID-19 shutdown. Savanna was in a choir at school, and when the pandemic started, of course, rehearsals were canceled. She missed her friends and she missed singing, so she started an Instagram account to showcase her music. Her first recording was a duet performance of The Prayer with her dad who she recruited because she felt too shy to be on camera alone. It went immediately went viral, and the family duo began regularly recording music. After interviews on GMA and Kelly Clarkson, they released their first album which was listed in the number one spot on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart. They have been performing both covers and originals together, recording, and touring ever since.
You can listen to the lovely Shaws on their website and on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
And I couldn’t resist including their versions of my two favorite Christmas songs, Mary Did You Know and Breath of Heaven…

They are inspiring and I’ll keep an eye out for their shows. (Currently not touring from what I see.)

I came to the same conclusion, but I’ve got a notification on StubHub for when they come around again!
